We’re kicking off a powerful new series through the Gospel of Matthew called “To Fulfill What Was Spoken.” In this opening message, we explore the significance of the name Jesus—a name that means “Yahweh saves”—and how it reveals the heart of God’s mission to redeem humanity.

Matthew begins his Gospel by grounding Jesus in the story of Israel and the promises of the prophets, declaring that Jesus is not a break from the past but the fulfillment of everything God had spoken. From His miraculous birth to His divine purpose, we see how Jesus is both fully God and fully man—the long-awaited Messiah, born to save His people from their sins.

This message also highlights the faith of Joseph, the meaning of the virgin birth, and the prophetic hope wrapped up in the names Jesus and Immanuel. Join us as we begin this journey through Matthew’s Gospel, seeing Jesus not just as a historical figure, but as the living fulfillment of God’s eternal plan.
