Steps of Faith

Students regularly ask how they can grow in their faith. When they ask that, they may envision becoming like a hero of the faith: a missionary who fearlessly goes to another country, a speaker who captivates hundreds at a time, or a faithful servant who faces adversity with joy and peace. They want to be these things, and they hope to get there quickly.

God often works with us slowly. His change happens quietly, sometimes imperceptibly. The secret isn’t to force a certain outcome; it’s to stay on the right path.

For our students, I hope this summer is one where they take new steps of faith. By learning to walk in faith, they will hear God’s voice and stay on the path that creates dramatic life change.
