In Matthew 9, we see Jesus’ ministry in full motion—teaching truth, proclaiming the kingdom, and healing the broken. From forgiving sins to calling Matthew the tax collector, to raising the dead and opening blind eyes, Jesus reveals both His authority and His compassion. He meets people in their deepest need and calls His followers to do the same. As He looked upon the crowds with compassion, He told His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.”
This message reminds us that Jesus not only came to save but to send—to invite us into His mission of bringing healing, mercy, and hope to a hurting world.
